Who We Are

Save the Mesa is an incorporated nonprofit environmental organization that was created in 1999 by a group of local citizens concerned with unbridled growth in Southern San Luis Obispo County. Our primary goal is to preserve the rural character of the Nipomo Mesa and surrounding areas. We strongly encourage adherence to existing land-use plans and ordinances.

We seek grassroots involvement in our community through education of our members and the public. We are a growing group of about 150 members, and attendance at our quarterly educational meetings typically numbers between 30 and 40. We are all volunteers. Δ
